ABSTRACT:The Khazars is a Turkic tribe that moved into the north Caucasus from east. From 7th century to 9th century they established a strong qaghanate, thus became an important transit station in the north route of silk road, keeping close relation with Byzantium and Arabian Empire. Around 750’s the Khazars converted to Judaism from follower of the Tengri cult.
