12 月 21 日 ，新加坡总统纳丹在中国驻新大使张小康、中国国家宗教事务局外事司司长郭伟陪同下，参观了 “ 中国 —— 新加坡 2009 宗教文化展 ” 。纳丹总统认真观看了展览以及独具中国五大宗教特色的刻经、书法、剪纸现场演示，并饶有兴趣地欣赏了中国天主教的名典演唱 “ 茉莉花 ” 、回族穆斯林服饰展示以及灵光寺的佛乐演出等。演出结束后，纳丹总统与中方代表合影留念，并为本次活动题词：

      A most impressive collection of Religious artifacts, calligraphy, Books of explanations about the growth of religions and their followers in China today. I appreciate that tremendous effort that has gone into the holding of this exhibition together with the Inter-Religious Organization of Singapore.

      I hope it will enlighten all visitors to the exhibition of the various religions and their practices in China and Singapore.

      My appreciation for the effort put in by the government of the People’s Republic of China to hold this exhibition in Singapore.

      按计划纳丹总统的参观时长为一小时，但他被展览深深吸引，竟多驻足了半小时。
