用通俗民谣，或许还受到赵树理《李有才板话》的影响，但是，莫言作品整个的主题和艺术的复杂性都远远超越了赵树理和其它写作农民小说的共和国作家。莫言运用这些民谣，对毛时代农民小说的价值构成直接的冲击。
