摘 要：作为区域性神的杨泗将军信仰，在清代中期由两湖移民带入陕南地区之后，又整合了宋 代以来陕南原有地方性 神杨从义，不仅完成了其本土化的进程，同时也使得本为庇佑地方农业生产的水利神杨 从 义崇拜发生转型，成为区域性信仰的组成部分。而这一民间信仰的形成，一方面是由于清代 中期以后陕南大规模的移民运动，直接将原居地区水神信仰带入，但更重要的是因为明清时 期陕南地方商品经济的勃兴，使得民间信仰体系从以地方诸神为主开始向地方诸神与区域性 神相结合转变。

Abstract: General Yang Si was a regional god to be worshipedin people in Hunanand Hubei in the Qing Dynasty. In the midst of the dynasty, the worship of Gener al Yang was brought to southern Shaanxi by the immigrants from the two above-men tioned provinces, where it was synthesized with the worship of Yang Congyi, a lo cal god. This not only completed the process of nativization of the worship of G eneral Yang Si but also resulted in the transformation of the worship of Yang Co ngyi from a god of water irrigation to part of regional worship. The shaping ofthis folk worship resulted partly from the large-scale migration campaign in sou thern Shaanxi since the midst of the Qing Dynasty, which helped introduce worshi p of god of water irrigation, and more importantly from prosperity of business e conomy in the region in times of the Ming and the Qing Dynasty, which contribute d to a conversion from worship of local gods to worship of the combination of lo cal gods with regional gods.

上世纪30年代，以研究戏剧著名的学者黄芝岗先生曾写作了《中国的水神》［1］一 书。 在此书中，他利用民间传说、文人笔记、地方志等记载的水神材料，详细地考证了流行中国 各地的水神传说，对各地水神传说的产生、流传及演变的状况进行了梳理，指出在全国各地 分布着不同的水神神，他们各自有着自己的管辖区域。其中，黄芝岗先生对流传在长江中 、下游地区的水神杨泗将军极为关注，甚至以这位灵异卓著的神作为贯穿全书的一条主线 。笔者在对西北地区民间信仰进行历史地理研究时，发现在西北地区也同样存在基于杨泗将 军神话传说的信仰习俗［2］。但是随着地域的向西、向北推移，这一信仰习俗与黄 芝岗先生
